New book release! Happy New Year and Happy Book B-day - contest time

Happy New Year - Happy Book B-day....stay tuned for a contest

Today - (Tuesday) is the United States Book Birthday of The Bitter Seed of Magic by Suzanne McLeod. I mention the U.S. Book B-day only because McLeod's books have separate book release days - The UK and the US publications. This has been out in the UK for a while now; we get it over in the US now. :) For a taste of The Bitter Seed of Magic click on the book cover above where you will be able to read chapter one. Then you can click on this link on my blog where there is a snippet from chapter two of Bitter Seed of Magic.

As for Doc; The Vampire Hunting Dog, written by J.A. Campbell, it's been released recently as an e-book, but for people like me {who obsessively cling to some of the old ways, *g*}, HAPPILY, there are print copies available from CreateSpace; also print available soon at Amazon. Doc started out as a series of shorts - a fun piece for readers. A border collie whose owner, or person, has been hunting vampires discovers that he can give "THE EYE" to vampires, helping his person fight them. Border Collies do tend to have a way with their expressions, especially their eyes. They seem to have special eye powers, just try to stare at one when you can. They have trippy eyes. Doc has his own page on FaceBook now. I can picture Doc plush toys, complete with stakes and other vampire hunting equipment; I think Campbell should think about some merchandizing for Doc. LOL might be a surprise hit! For a taste of Campbell's writing, visit her blog and click on this Doc page, where there are a few free online reads posted for readers {use the drop down menu}.

The Contest

To celebrate the "birth" of two of my favorite writers' novels, I'm going to have a contest. This is what I'm offering as a prize - a print copy of J.A. Campbell's Doc, the Vampire Hunting Dog and a copy of Suzann McLeod's The Bitter Seed of Magic {Spellcrackers.com #3}. Now my contests are usually notoriously and a bit embarrassingly lightly attended. This is a longwinded way of me saying that hardly anyone ever enters my contests :( - so for those of you who DO ENTER, you will have a better than average chance of winning. Just think of all those super blogs where there are at times close to a 100 entries, or some who actually have 400 entries. Small chances there. Here you get way better odds.

so enter!

To enter, please put a link up to my contest at your blog or your FB. I don't do twitter, so I don't care about twitter links - I won't be able to check them, so they don't really count for my contests.

make sure you provide the link to your blog/fb page announcing the contest. ALSO make sure you have a way for me to get a hold of you. Most likely the link will help and I always hate having to leave my e-mail on a public blog, so if there's at least a link, I can use the link to ask for your e-mail if you win.

Contest starts today, right now! and goes until January 15th, a Sunday.

So let's get to announcing and linking up!

Tell your friends,

your moms

your grandmas

your dogs and your cats....oh - um......ahem.......got a wee bit carried away.....

But ENTER a contest, you might win books from not just one, but two great writers.
Good Luck!
