Tuesday Teaser

**sorry, I haven't linked any of the covers or authors yet.

***Don't forget to enter contest over here***

Monday is done, finito, finis, se cabo. It is now time for Teaser Tuesday....Yeay!

Hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading this is the meme where we mercilessly tease with snippets of books we're reading,

and since I'm being unfocused on my reading, you're getting three teases - there would have been more, but I've misplaced two of the books.....

Dead In The Family (#10) by Charlaine Harris

page 18;

' "I think we need to kill Victor," I said, and his eyes met mine.

I'd finally succeeded in surprising Eric'

this was my purse book t0day - for a dr. appointment. Good waiting room reading. :)

Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves
page 257

'I wanted to burn something for her so badly I felt sick with it. I wanted to tell her I'd do anything for her, but my heart was too full to speak.

I was her daughter.

Definitely.'

The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove by Christopher Moore

page 68;

' Could there be a big, burnt beast lumbering out of the creek? and if so, had she just watched it turn into a double-wide trailer?'

page 69;

' Just when she'd settled into having a simple personality disorder, she had to learn to be psychotic all over again. Being schizo wasn't all bad. '

This is the third Pine Cove book that I've read (Practical Demon-Keeping, and The Stupidest Angel) and I have to say, that Molly is my favorite character; she's bat-shit crazy, but manages to take care of business. :)

  1. I always bring a book along to Dr. appointments too. Good teasers, think I like the first and second one best. Love your kitten cartoon at the end! Very cute!

    Stopping by from TT. Here's the link to ours if you get a chance to visit: http://ourstack.blogspot.com/2011/05/tuesday-teasers-caregiver-and-black-and.html

  2. It used to be that I would wait forever at the doctor's to be seen - now most of my appointments go pretty fast, but then I always pick a doctor that is a.) a woman, and b.) POC,or non-caucasion. It seems they have less patients, thus less patient waiting...not sure what that means, but it's good for me. On the other hand, my workman's comp doctor - I've had to wait for almost an hour for him. :(

  5. GraceKrispy - I almost want one of those ereaders...I'm wavering. I really love having books though, looking at the covers when I want, rifling through the pages...
