Tuesday's Teaser (
Hosted by the Fab Miz B at Should Be Reading) also happens to be the book that is
up for a giveaway - a giveaway that is open to both sides of the Pacific Ocean, England, USA, Scotland....and right now, the odds are very good, as there are only 3 entries. Either way, my following isn't huge - like some blogs where there are hundreds and hundreds of entries for one book - so if I were looking to win a book I'd be searching out the contests held on blogs that have kind of small followings...is that mercenary of me? I do only enter when I really want a book. :)

'Tiny cartoon-like cherubs complete with rosy cheeks, golden wings and glittering halos, zipped around our heads like sugar-hyped garden fairies; white fluffy clouds nipped our ankles like a litter of playful puppies and the scent of honey, cinnamon and sweetened vanilla fragranced the air. Above us curved a twenty-foot-high dome of magic, painted the sapphire blue of a clear summer sky. Etched into the blue was the smiling image of a benign old man with a long white beard.
I'd been beamed up to Disney Heaven. Lucky me. '
That's going to it for the teasers tonight. I just finished Bone Song (great book) and I am going to concentrate on The Bitter Seed of Magic until I'm finished with it. Now that I'm reading the third book, it makes me want to go back to read the second and first all over again....
by the way - I'm not very good at repeating guidelines and rules (I tend to forget), but basically you get your current read, pick two sentences to use as teasers and be very careful NOT to inlude spoilers. This is a way to expose others to the books you are reading, so it's also a good idea to post the author name as well as the title of the book. In fact, it's probably good form to do so. :) Kind of like when you post a quote, you should always note that it's a quote and give credit to the original writer/speaker - otherwise it looks like you are putting the work as your own...I've seen lots of facebook entries that aren't credited properly and it drives me crazy. Okay, I'm getting off the soapbox now. :)
Good points! Also helps other participants find the book you are referring to if they are interested.
