Writer Suzanne McLeod - author of the Spellcrackers.com series has generously offered a signed copy of The Bitter Seed of Magic for a contest.
This is the third of the series - due out in the United Kingdom in just a couple weeks (February 17th).
The contest is open internationally
Leave a comment here with the name of your top five favorite newest series. I'm looking for series that have came out in and since 2009. For instance- The Spellcrackers.com would be in my top five of the newest because I first read it in 2009; Devon Monk's Magic series (Allie Beckstrom - Magic in the Blood, etc) would also be there because it came out in 2009. At least get as close as you can. :) It's not school - not a test, just a generalization.

My favorite is Fantasy/Paranormal and my second is nonfiction (I just say non fiction as I read history books for fun, memoirs for fun and true crime if its a case that sounds odd.)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Peep!!

Awesome contest! Thanks for this opportunity ^^. Well, it’s a little hard to me to reduce it to a top five but here I go, in no special order:
ReplyDelete1- Chicagoland Vampires by Chloe Neill –UF- ( I loove her snarky sense of humor, with a strong heroine & a little mistery plot in the background)
2 - Drake Chronicles by Alyxandra Harvey – P/YA (I really enjoyed her original aproach to the ‘vampires theme’, a light fun read to me ^^)
3 - Intrinsical by Lani Wooland – P/YA - (I just finished it & absolutely love it, It’s gonna be a trilogy so I’ll have to wait for the rest!!)
4 - Sabina Kane by Jaye Wells – UF – (I've only read the first but really liked it, it was sassy & fast-paced)
5 - Alex Craft by Kalayna Price
And favorite genre to read I’d say Urban Fantasy & Young Adult ¿? (paranormal or not), though lately I’d been reading some good cozys (a little mystery to solve it's always entertaining) =)
Thanks again!! & good luck to all!

My favorite is Paranormal and Suspense coming in second! tWarner419@aol.com
ReplyDeleteHi :) nice contest...and here are my series in particular order
ReplyDelete1. The Edge Series by Ilona Andrews
2. The Parasol Protectorate by Gail Carriger (a great tounge in cheek steampunk series with supernatural elements)
3. Spellbent series by Lucy A.Snyder (not without its faults but with some interesting ideas)
4. The Trickster series by Rob Thurman (only read the first book of the two published so far...not great but if we can judge by the Cal Leandros series it's only gathering up speed)
5. Suburban Supernatural Anthologies edited by Esther Friesner (not really a series in the strictest sense but still wildly entertaining stories with what could well be seeds for future books or series)
as for the genres it's a tough call but currently I enjoy the most Mysteries (especially with an SF or a fantasy twist) and Steampunk (more and more lately)
Thanks for the chance to win this book
Best regards
