Here's Monday...

Ever feel like this? kind of pissed, awful, confused and "what the HELL are you doin' to me" kind of way? It's the way I feel once in a while, LOL - especially for a few days last week, but all better now. The bath is over, and feelin' calmer now. haha (metaphorically speaking)

It's Monday, What Are You Reading - a favorite weekly meme hosted by Sheila of Book Journey is here again! (it bein' Monday, an' all) This, of course means that we've all survived another week, some of us barely, but still - we're here. (and glad to be here - never doubt that). I finally was able to actually finish a book. I think I went two weeks without being able to finish. I thought at first it was because of Winter Break (which used to be called Christmas Vacation) but now I realize, after having given up on two books week before last, that I was a bit bored with what I was reading. because once I picked up a Lilith Saintcrow book, I finished it in a couple days (with breaks for work and sleep). So the book drought is over. For now.

Finished this past week:

Redemption Alley by Lilith Saintcrow (writer of the Strange Angel's YA series) = and man, was it a kick ass book. Loved reading it.

Then I dove right into reading Ben Aaronovitch's Rivers of London, or titled here in the States, Midnight Riot. I'm happy to have the UK version from a friend, and I have to say if you haven't read this one yet - go get it if you can, it's soooo good. I had a lot of chuckles throughout and loved the character.

As soon as I finished the other two, I picked up Flesh Circus by Lilith Saintcrow - picked it right up from my TBR pile, where it's been since it was released. Reading Lilith Saintcrow's novels is always an adventure, and being able to dive back into this series was so much fun for me. It's dark, dark urban fantasy - but love reading it.

by the way - Winner of my teeny tiny contest will be announced tomorrow, instead of tonight. Misjudged the weekend, Grandchildren time.
