It's Monday again. Really

I just had the busiest weekend ever....okay- it wasn't really busy, but I was babysitting granchildren the whole weekend. Had both of them for Friday and Saturday over night. They had a lot of fun together, and there were only a few minor family feud moments. Most of the time the kids were playing together pretty well. It was nice to experience. Of course, now it's Sunday night (Monday Morning, really) and I'm exhausted. It's a good thing I don't have to work until afternoon.

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila of Book Journey.
Go over and take a look at all the various books that people are reading.

My reading week started out great- I had just finished and reviewed Zoo City, so I was reading Lauren Beukes first novel, Moxyland. Finished Moxyland. Then my reading slowed down, considerably. I started reading Pashazade...and between one thing and another, I wasn't able to get past the first three pages, (which ARE interesting) Then of course, I had the book with me last night in the extra bedroom, along with the two grandchildren...and couldn't find it this morning. I could not stay awake for more than a half hour at a time today though....my granddaughter basically amused herself on the computer, as I dozed on the couch in between being "summoned" to make her food to eat, pour juice, help her on the toilet, etc....Ahhhh the joys of grandparent-hood .LOL.

Anyway, I did receive two other books from an English Book Fairy...

Retribution Falls by Chris Wooding and

Bone Song by John Meaney

Whenever I did get a chance to read Sunday, it was from Bone Song. Bone Song seems to be a mix between science fiction and fantasy, and it's quite a mix. I'm only on chapter one, and already I can tell this book is going to be a hell of a book.

That's it for now - Hopefully I'll manage to do a Tuesday Teaser post, which I didn't do last week...

And the contest for Nocturne ended with no fanfare Friday. I was so dazed with exhaustion on Sunday, and so busy Saturday that I didn't even think about drawing names for the winner.
I'll do that this week.
promise.
Really.

  1. Ah the joy's of being a grandmother. My boys are much too rambunctious for me to leave them too long without my interaction. Have a great week!
