tuesday Teaser, hosted by Miz B at Should be Reading
(really this is my sloppiest post ever- I might edit in pictures and links later - time permitting)
First book is Bitter Angels by C.L. Anderson - which I've been slowly reading page 98:
"I had her gaze and I held it, watching every shift of her eyes, watching her shoulders slump one millimeter at a time.
Siri squared her shoulders, coming to attention even though she remained seated. 'Yes, ma'am,' she said, and I nodded just like Misao. "
second book is one I just picked up - Trolls in Manhatten by Celia Jerome. first two sentences, since I haven't even started reading it yet. Page 1:
"Never underestimate the power of imagination. Never overestimate it, either. "
I would have put up a teaser of Magic At the Gate, but I left it in the car, and don't feel like staggering out there to get it - it's late, I'm tired, stiff, and...time for bed!

ReplyDeleteDeepali = Magic At the Gate is a great read so far. But then, I've been enjoying all of Devon Monk's books. she's a good, very good writer. :)
