Teaser Tuesday

This is going to be short and maybe sweet - Teaser Tuesdays is a meme hosted by Miz Be at Should Be Reading .

I'm using one of the books that I misplaced on my twilight zone of book-reading weekend. I found Bitter Angels under the couch - when I was looking for my shoes...go figure, right? (maybe I should look under the furniture more often? - I found another of my missing books in the car, between the seat and the console. *g*)

from page 219 of Bitter Angels:

'Slowly, set free by stillness and safety and the realization that I was not only alive but was likely to stay that way, the aftermath began. Goose pimples trembled on my arms. My skin crawled. The tremors worked their way deeper, until my muscles cramped and spasmed. Uncontrolled - and uncontrollable - shudders shook my whole body. Tears poured in rivers down my cheeks. I clamped my jaw shut with every ounce of strength I had.'

Thanking the Universe for the end of Monday!

  6. The sofa is a prime place to lose small, precious objects. LOL

    That's a very intense, pain-filled teaser.

BTW: the boy in mine was listening to his mother and grandfather argue about him. The grandfather thought he was pansy i. e. gay.
