Teaser Tuesday

I wasn't going to post a teaser today, because I feel kind of blahhhh. kind of limp. kind of grey.....ugh. But then I read Moira's teaser and though - hell, I can manage at least ONE tease. So I won't go overboard and put three teasers up - I'll just post one from one book...just one :( So, here we are again at Tuesday. Teaser Tuesday. Hosted by MizB of ShouldBeReading, this is where we tease the hell out of each other with snippets of books that we're reading. There are (of course) better, more genteely worded guidelines on Miz B's website. No spoilers allowed.

As I noted before, I wasn't going to do a tease this week. When I do Teasers I usually try to include any book that I've started reading, but this time I'm going to focus on only one, and it's not my usual type of reading material. However, once in a great while, I do read a romance-ish style of book. Maybe I should just say it's chick lit, although I don't think her books really fall in the normal chick lit style either. There's definitely always romance involved, but it's never the heavy duty "oh my gawd, so hawt", heavy breathing, throbbing body parts type of romance. You know the type I mean. The type that could just as well be soft porn. Nope, though there are some hot-ish scenes in a lot of her books, there's a lot more story...

Jennifer Crusie has written many books, and I've probably read about half of them. This newest one has a bit of the paranormal in it - are there ghosts? or not? There's definitely some weird goings on, two little children (not so little) and failed marriage where the two are definitely still attracted to each other...
