Teaser Tuesdays - hosted by Miz B at Should Be Reading
Magic At the Gate by Devon Monk
I can't believe I almost forgot...but I did.
I came home from work, planning to just read. Ended up making my own dinner (leftover rice and meat in a tortilla - easy, quick, tasty) and then got the bright Idea to go to the bookstore....omg = should not have gone. I've been having some issues with my back...which means about 15 minutes into my browsing, both legs are going numb.
Do I stop? NO!
do I at least sit down? Hell No! (I don't claim to be totally sane lol)
I don't know why I don't do some common sense things. At this point I think I decided to just suck it up, "man-up" and finish shopping. Of course, I haven't been inside a bookstore for over a month, so I ended up browsing the entire Sci-Fi/Fantasy section... and cut it short there. This really is a compromise on my part - I usually check out the bargain books, the horror section, and the kids section also.
I limited my self to just a few books, because I really should have been buying birthday gifts for my November girls....I have plans for them though.
I did find some books that I've been waiting for the release dates....
and will tease you with the first sentences of each novel.
(no links today - caught off guard)

"Mac: 11:18 a.m., November 1

That's it folks - the first two sentences of each book I bought Tuesday, to tease you with. I'm probably not even going to get a chance to read them for a bit...Who am I kidding!!!!????!! As soon as I'm finished reading Pegasus, I'm reading Magic at the Gate. C'MON!!! it's Devon Monk! :)
