Oh Heck Yeah! Love those books - they're on my autobuy. One of these times I'm going to just post about the 20 or 25 autobuy authors that I read -
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for books that are from POC authors, which are hard to find.
Actually, one that I'm reading now, Moonshine is by a POC author, which I found out after I bought it, so that was a nice surprise.
Thanks though for your recommendation - and you're entered in the giveaway (my very first entry!)
Ok, so - recommendation... is lacking. But I've been told I could tell you about the POC in my next WIP, which is something I set aside to rewrite Arabian Dreams. I don't know if she really counts, because she's a Nightmare in reality, but in her human form when she doesn't have all of her powers to control her appearance, she has midnight black skin and flaming red hair, though it's not actually flaming unless she's in her nightmare form. Long story condensed, she gets attacked by some demons and they steal half her soul. She escapes into the human world and has to get some help getting her soul back before she gets stuck as a human. In the process she and her help foil a larger plot by the demons.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great! I have been seeing it around the blogs and have put it on my wish list - would love to win it! I am sure you have read these, but - I would recommend Kim Harrison and her Rachel Morgan series. I also truly suggest that you read Strange Brew, it's an anthology but it gives you a little bit by a few greats and maybe you can go from there.
ReplyDeletePlease enter me in your contest and thanks for hosting. bevsharp@desch.org
