This is coming out on Tuesday, April 27th
The Sweet Scent of Blood
From the Blurb (of the UK edition): "My name is Genny Taylor. I work for Spellcrackers.com It's a great job, pays the rent, lets me do the thing I'm good at - finding magic and cracking it - and the bonus is it's run by witches, shich stops the vamps from taking a bite out of me.
Not that vampires are the big bad any more, not since they launched a slick PR campaign - oh, and they brought the goblins on board. Now the vamps are sought-after clebrities and Getting Fanged and taking the Gift are the new height of all things cool. But only if you're human
And I'm not.
I'm Sidhe fae.
And I know firsthand just how deadly a vampire can be. "
here is a snippet from a random page (I know it's not Teaser Tuesday, but still...)
from chapter four:
"He sighed, the sound coating me with remorse. 'Go home, Genevieve, while you still can.'
'What? Just leave?' I stopped strangling the strap of my bag and clenched my fists, digging my nails into my palms, determined to resist the impulse he'd given me to go home. "when you haven't even threatened me yet?' "
from chapter five;
" I rolled my shoulders, attempting to ease away the tightness in the muscles. As I did, the goblin turned his blank eyes slowly in my direction, his cat-like ears twitching. He shifted his bat and grasped it in his right hand. He smoothed a long finger down the ski-slope incline of his nose, then covered his mouth with his palm for a brief heartbeat.
It was the traditional mark of respect between goblins....."
One of the best Urban Fantasy books that I've read. I have the first two in the series and am waiting (very patiently - kind of) for the next four books :)

Reading on Monday
This is going to short and sweet because I'm exhausted (I need to take one weekend just to sleep - NO KIDS, I never though I'd even think that)
My Soul to Take by Rachel Vincent (YA)
Vicious Circle by Mike Carey (adult)
Rally Fever by Crea Jones (adult)
At school -
Herbert's Wormhole (still)
Eoin Colfer's Legend of the Worst Boy in the World
I'm planning on picking out a simple, young chapter book to read to Liliana. Only because she keeps grabbing my novels, and book marks, etc. I'll find an easy to understang book for her and read a bit here and there, making sure we use bookmarks. She's such a kick!
