Books Completed last week:
Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich (of the Stephanie Plum series)
Currently Reading -
truly, madly by Heather Webber. This is the first of a new series that seems to be a mix of light romance (very little) some mystery and suspense and a touch of paranormal.
The characters are engaging and the situations interesting. The dialog is pretty good, nothing lame has jumped out at me so far.
The book is easy to read, (not in a remedial way) I never feel like I have to force myself to keep going. I'm enjoying this book. I had hoped to have it finished before the release date, so I can reveiw it, but it looks like I'm not going to make it. I can say that so far that book is fun to read and based on what I've read so far, I'm going to get the second book (Deeply, Desperately). This is the first of a trilogy.
Other books I'm reading in various places:
The Dust of 100 dogs,
The robber bride
Girls in Trucks
Still reading Herbert's Wormhole - the two classes that we're reading this in is really enjoying this book. There's outloud laughter and giggles and groans. All the hallmarks of an entertaining book for fourth and fifth graders.
These all look good. love the fact that your 4th and 5th graders are loving their read aloud so much. Have a great week!I
ReplyDeleteHave a delightful week reading and the read-a-loud is fabulous. I do so like when young kids want to read. My Monday is here: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/02/what-are-you-reading-mondays-1-february.html
