Although this book was written (or copyrighted) in 1989 we are just now getting it into our library. For a long time we haven't had much money for new books, and since I've been working here (about two years) I'll put any book that looks interesting into the library, even if I find it laying around, in a flea market, from donations...etc.
I'm excited about this book, because I am trying to get a more diverse collection in. This is called The Name of the Tree and is a Bantu folktale retold by Celia Barker Lottridge. I'll look for a pic to post later (when I'm at home). I read this book to a few children and it's a pretty good children's book.
